Browns bonus and Nurses contract doesn't really put you in great position to be running your mouth about any teams management.

He is stupid for valuing a good prospect and a 2nd more than a late 1st while also not helping out the enemy?

Maybe you won’t tell me who and when to give me advice, thank you.

I couldn't possibly keep up with this battle of wits, so I'll just bow out.

We have a saying in Russia: To spite my mother, I will freeze my ears. You probably operate on the same principle. We will accept any offer as long as it is not from Edmonton. Late first round? Will the second round from Dallas be too late? Or you would get a choice in the region of 25-32 choices, or 57-64, it’s still not the same thing. Or do you think that Dallas is second in the West and took Tanev to safely merge in the first round? And then please tell me you have about 25 more games to play, who will play in your second pair now?, that is, a proven defender of the main team, I think, would not be out of place for you, and then he has a contract for reasonable money for the next year, you from Ceci received a 3rd round draft pick at the next deadline, despite the fact that you didn’t need a right-handed defenseman from the free agent market, in which you would definitely overpay.

Could be the possibility that Tanev might have had Edmonton on his no trade list and blocked the trade, impossible to know all the details. I do remember hearing Edmonton offered this trade but was it exactly that or was the pick conditional? Again almost impossible to tell without knowing all the details. Maybe he values the prospect who is potentially alot closer to making an impact over the pick. Now I agree the trade is underwhelming but we don't know all the details.

Ceci is worthless to Calgary. And according to Friedman and Marek Calgary values Grushnikov more than a late 1st. Dallas's 2nd will undoubtedly be late but Calgary is high on the prospect

Heh. Russia has many great and strange sayings. I love it. However, Russia also has a stunning lack of perspective. For instance, you completely gloss over the good prospect Calgary acquired at a position of need, as well as the fact that nobody thinks Ceci is worth anything. He's a partial cap dump with another year on his deal, dude. He has negative value.

Soooo.... yeah. NHL teams usually don't take offers they like less to do favors for their hated rivals.

I think Calgary did okay in the Tanev trade, will need to see how the Russian dman prospect they got turns out.

From Edmonton's perspective I think they're better off that Conroy rejected this offer if it was indeed offered.
