If Muzzin is too far in the past to be relevant to you, fine, look at the Lindholm and Monahan trades this calendar year. If a valuable player on an expiring contract is worth a first, then a valuable player who has a whole 'nother season on his deal and thus two playoff runs for you should be worth substantially more. I may be ambitious in wanting Schneider as well as the first, or even greedy as my esteemed colleague jded says, but I think that the point is still valid.
