Description
DALLAS. NEW JERSEY, Florida Boston. Vegas and LA are the only current playoff teams in the US that could afford to and want to sign Hanifin. From that list Dallas LA and Vegas are maybe due to Cap space. Playing closer to home would mean New Jersey, Boston and Florida are the front runners. He trains with Marino in Off season and Jersey is loaded with Young talent. His Buddied Bennett tkachuk plays in Miami Florida which is close to Tampa his so call preferred playing location. Finally Boston is his home state.

nothing realistic about that boston trade - you're a first round pick heavy.

The old I want lots coming back for a UFA. Sign and trades are infrequent especially at TDL. Florida and Bruins are rolling along quite well, do they really have disrupt their lineup, never mind wanting to spend a lot of cap on Dman next season may be out of the question. Kings don't need any Dmen
The Tanev might be most reasonable to Dallas.

            You forgot two letters un-realistic.

I believe if you substitute Lohrei for any two prospects not named Lysell or Poitras, there is a path there.

If those are Calgary’s options, I’d would take Lundell. (Maybe even if the offer was just Lundell)

            For Hanifin
            1. FLA
            2. NJD
            3. DAL
            4. BOS

            For Tanev
            1. LAK
            2. DAL

These all seem pretty optimistic on Calgary’s end. I find it hard to believe there will be a high end bidding war. He’s pretty strictly a rental for any Canadian team at this point. And most of the good American teams lack a lot of draft capital+ prospects.

I think Calgary would do well to get a Hampus Lindholm like return of a 1st and 2nd in this draft and an2nd down the road. He’s not re-signing.

The Lindholm return was a 1st, 2nd and Vaakanainen (basically a 3rd). The other 2nd was to take on John Moore's contract (1.25 years x $2.75M for an AHLer). Grzelcyk is a UFA this season and isn't playing up to his cap hit, but he doesn't require a 2nd to get moved (nor should the Bruins do it) and Lohrei/Vaakanainen's values are also debatable.

probably drop the second. He’ll go for about the same as lindholm to Vancouver, a player a 1st and a top prospect.

Lindholm went for a F locked into a two year contract having a bad year, two former third round picks, and a late first rounder.

The former third rounder is playing like he should have been drafted in the second round.

Not sure where that lands in terms of comparable land. Florida will have a ton of attractive free agents if they do that deal. Do they want to add another or do they go cheaper?

Hanifin is a great get for whomever secures AND more importantly, signs him for the next 7 to 8 years

You must not think much of Hanifin. Lohrei Lysell and Poitras are a million times better than Hanifin. Lol

Not even remotely saying that. Suggesting that 5 months of Hanifin is considered in the price.

probably drop the second. He’ll go for about the same as lindholm to Vancouver, a player a 1st and a top prospect.

Calgary didn't get the top prospect - no rentals do (at least not with a first). Teams protect their top prospects, and vancouver did just that.

Drop the first, or drop Lohrei. It's one or the other.

You must not think much of Hanifin. Lohrei Lysell and Poitras are a million times better than Hanifin. Lol

or he just knows what deadline deals look like? He's suggesting the norm, you're suggesting something unprecedented.

Why did you edit my post when quoting it? that's weird. and no. definitely no.

            Forbort + Lohrei + 2nd works
            Forbort + 1st + merkulov works

a 1st and lohrei for hanifin is not a concept that is based in reality.

no worries just confused where that came from - no. no conditions on the pick.
