There is absolutely no chance if the Wild are out of a playoff spot they trade a player signed long term on an absolute steal of a contract. Best we can offer is a slightly used Flower and it’s looking more like they’re going to just keep him and keep pushing for a playoff spot at this point.

just a headsup, it's about to get worse, although the reason for it is kinda fun. The best Avs beat is going to do roast my rosters podcasts in a week or two probably, so you're gonna get new guys on here posting stuff like this

1. RyJo is going to cost the equivalent of a 2nd to dump. Pick your poison on how you get to that 2nd - a decent prospect or star AHLer/fringe NHLer & a 3rd, a 3rd, 4th, and 5th, the 2026 2nd, whatever. but you aren't getting anything in return for this deal in particular.
3. JEE isn't available. Kinda equivalent to the Wild trading like Nichushkin - value is too good for the Wild and they aren't tearing it down. They seem content to compete as best they can until the buyouts are done.
4. I don't see the Avs trading Ritchie under any circumstances. Well, any that are not an insane steal, which this is not. Avs would need a RFA 2C to make it worth it.
5. 2 firsts! there's no way!

I get what you meant by it, but comparing JEE to Nichuskin is crazy. JEE is a top 15 center on one of the most team friendly contracts in the league.

No comparison in game! Just value to their respective teams. Avs wouldn't trade Nuke under these same circumstances is what i was getting at. Nuke's contract is pretty dang good it turns out, but JEE took Mackinnon's throne for 'best value contract for a center' and took it well.
