Imagine Morrow and/or Blake are in Guentzel package…CAR is going to have tough time signing their NCAA guys.

On one hand, Carolina has a lot of good prospects for you guys to add, and Bunting next to Crosby would be excellent. On the other hand, Carolina is a scary team to deal with and they seem to fleece nearly everyone they trade with. Maybe Kyle can be the guy to break that trend. I feel like Scott Morrow will be involved

Completely agree, I think Morrow kind of checks all the boxes for Pittsburgh and it doesnt seem like hes going to sign in Carolina

I'm fine with losing Blake, but Morrow we absolutely cannot lose. We probably won't be resigning Pesce and we're going to need an RD for the future. There's no one else in the pipeline and we're going to have to overpay HARD for someone in trade or FA if we trade Morrow.

Morrow is widely considered a good prospect, but he would be behind Yager and Pickering (who are the only decent prospects in the Penguins system).

Canes are deep at D so trading from position of strength. Probably means Pesce gets extended and Skjei probably won't if the money doesn't work and Nikishin coming.

They should re-sign Pesce over Skjei IMO

I'd take him for free on Vegas, if only to never see Froese again. He's already cleared waivers, and at 2m it won't cost much to bury him in the AHL again.
