I doubt that offer gets Anderson. He's a legit top pair RD on a cheap contract signed for two more years. If the Flames did decide to move him, there would be a bidding war. And if Tampa did add another $4.5m D man w/ term, how do the Bolts re-sign Stammer?

This offer would be close to rental value not for signed long term at an incredible value contract.

While this offer isn't close for a player like Anderson, Tampa could fit another dman with term in the ~4 aav range, as long as Stamkos is on board.for something in the 6 or so range. Tampa currently has 9 F, 6D, and 2G signed, and they have 11.65 projected. Sheary should be gone this offseason if JBB is smart, so Tampa gains an extra 1-1.2 after factoring in his min or close to min salary replacement. If Stamkos and a new dman with term or one they plan to re-sign if traded for(Walker, Carrier, Fabbro, Seeler etc) count around 10 million combined, Tampa would have enough for the last 3 F spots making 900k or less. It's not much different than this year, aside from the loss of Sheary in exchange for a better blueline and having to play a couple of deserving Syracuse players full time in the bottom 6(maybe just one since I figure they'll probabaly re-sign Motte).
