I also like that Vegas deal. The Florida teams don’t have a first to offer for two years and I think that’ll take them out. Vancouver adding Lindholm most likely takes them out and Winnipeg probably could t extend Jake, so I think that’s a lot for a rental. Vegas could be our best bet or Dallas if Marchment came back.

Yeah Dallas definitely would have a better chance to re-sign him. It makes a lot of sense. Them having him and Robertson would take them to the next level. I think the best plan is to trade Jake + anyone we can at this deadline and then enter the rebuild. I don't see us contending next year or big name free agents wanting to sign with us given the spot were in

That was my point. He's out 2-4 weeks... so that really could put a damper on what we get for him.
