I'd be willing to give picks/ mid-level prospects up for Eriksson Ek but not roster players or top-shelf prospects

I, too, am willing to give up mid-level prospects for really good players on really good deals.

I wish that was the price for Ek, but it's not. I doubt most MN fans will even agree to this trade, but it's a trade I don't think any other team would be able to match. I don't need any of these guys to say yes as long as my Billy G says yes

He's a low-end 1C/high-end 2C... kind of a bit like Brock Nelson. I think the price for Erikson Ek should probably be a first, a second, a decent prospect (so like Ville Koivunen)

I mean look at this way... Horvat got a first, a roster player, and a prospect and he was a much better center than Eriksson Ek... the price for centers is much less than most people think

Yeah but they aren't signed to one of the best long term contracts in the league. That is what makes Erikson Ek so valuable, he would be such a god fit for the canes though.

I would love for JEEk to be brought in, but 3 firsts, a top RHD prospect, and some more on top of that is kind of crazy. 2 firsts, Drury, Heimosalmi, and another prospect of the Wild’s choosing (not named FUS, Morrow, Nikishin, Nadeau, and Perets) is probably a lot closer to fair value. Hell, add in a conditional 2nd that can upgrade to a 1st (upgrades if the Canes win at least 1 cup during 2024-26 span with JEEk playing in at least half the available games).

As much as I would love for the Canes to land JEEk, I wouldn’t go and spend a ridiculous amount like this to bring him in.

He would be a great fit but I just don't see him fetching like multiple firsts or anything crazy.

i just dont see a world where he is traded. Every team in the league woukd take a guy like that on their team. wilds have so few centers too.
