Personally I view Hanifin as having essentially the same value as Elias Lindholm had, if it was him alone and you took off Robertson I'd say it's close.

Mangiapane is worth at least a 1st, I view him like I'd view Chris Kunits but different play style (meaning he can be a top end guys best friend)

From what I was understanding with the insiders is that the leafs are kicking tires more with Calgary for either Hanifin and Tanev. With essentially no idea if either player is guaranteed to resign, the leafs want a good young roster forward included in either deal for Hanifin or Tanev if they need to include a 1st round pick.
Knowing the amount of other teams looking at defense, I don't see the leafs landing either player.

They just listed the teams linked to Noah Hanifin, And sorry Toronto wasn't one of them.

Yep, I just fail to acknowledge that reporters add anything insightful when saying that Leafs are looking to add a Dman at TDL. Like 20 playoff contenders are probably looking for the same thing.

I don't argue that. I don't see Tanev as a big enough needle mover that even with resigning I can't see giving up a first for him.
If we were able to guaranteed resign Hanifin to a reasonable deal then yes I can see giving up our first for Hanifin.

I think leafs are better off keeping their 1st as the only player I can think of this year to be potentially had for the first is Chychrun and seeing as Toronto as a rival I am scared of that rival tax.
