What value does Kampf or Timmins have? I like Kampf but hes a slightly overpaid defensive 4th line center with poor hands and Timmins has shown once again that another team cant get him to play defense. I'm not saying they're worthless, but I dont think you can say that either one carries value

They Signed him before trading Lindholm. Backlund signed when they were not going into a rebuild.

The retention on Backlund clearly is only on the actual contract.. Retention isn't affected by the next one that will kick in next season.
