This would be a draft floor move so there wouldn't be protections. It depends how KH views the selection at 8OA imo. Harris & Ylonen are surplus players for us at this point and ANA would want a RHD, Spence fills that void and LA could use LHD & cheap wingers. What MTL loses here is the 8OA which, again depending on the selection available, isn't outrageous.

I'm not on the "go get zegras" bandwagon but every time I see Slaf or Rein requested I gag a bit.

Fair opinion, I personally wouldn't go any higher than that offer at this point from MTL POV though.

For LA I think Spence to Harris is actually a downgrade at a higher cap hit. Not sure why they'd do it.

Dach had 59 points in 152 games at the time he was traded to Montreal, and hadn’t yet shown the defensive ability he did last season. Zegras has 146 points in 200 games. Despite his struggles this season Zegras is far more valuable than Dach was
