That's way too much for Juuse Saros, And Jeff Petry doesn't waive for Nashville.

Zero chance of Robby Fabbri getting 2 3rd round picks, You'd be lucky to get Futures for him.

Lucas Raymond is better than Matthew Boldy who just signed for 7x7 Raymond is on pace for 70 this year. He'd easily get 8x8.

Patrick Kane 2-3 years @ $4,500,000 is the very least Kaner would command probably even closer to $5,500,000.

Try more like 4 x $3,000,000 for Daniel Sprong and 3-4 years x $5,500,000 for Shayne Gostisbehere.

Jake DeBrusk will be in the $5,000,000 to $5,500,000 per at bare minimum. These lowball offers are hysterical.

Other way around. The only interesting pieces coming Nashville's way is a first in 2025 and a winger who can't seem to put it together. Gotta do a whole lot better

Too many pieces, but none of them are good. NSH doesn't give away that 2nd, for any one of those players DET is sending them.

NSH doesn’t get any compensation for taking on the Husso cap dump— and take on a nearly 36-37 year old Petry. I doubt he would waive, and NSH wouldn’t have interest in him either way. This isn’t close for Saros.

Yeah i meant to say that both clubs decline, Not enough quality going to Nashville. And if Detroit was to make a similar trade it's not for a Goaltender we need a 2C and either upgrade at LHD or RHD.

You are right on all these except saros. He will get more than this in a return. Especially if the wings want the preds to take back some of those pieces

I can see an off-season trade making sense if just to make a roster spot. Depends what we plan on doing with Sprong/Kane/Fischer/Berggren/Mazur. If we aren’t bringing back most of those guys and promoting the other ones, it wouldn’t make sense to trade him.

But which team is trading for Fabbri's injury history and 4 mil AAV?

A team that wants a fairly priced middle six winger on only 1 year. Whether it’s for no return or Detroit retains half, I’m sure they could move him if they wanted to

I'm not sure about that.

Yzerman loves Fabbri.

When he's playing he makes the Red Wings better.

He's finally healthy now and contributing.

He's a leader on that team.

I think he has more value as a Red Wing than whichever return he'd get which would be minimal given his 4 mil cap (or 2 mil retained) for a year and a half and his injury history.

Do I expect Fabbri to be re-signed when his contract is up?

No I don't. They'll need his roster spot for one of the many young forwards they have marinating in Grand Rapids.

I agree with all. Only reason trading him makes sense is if we really want a roster spot for Berggren/Mazur. Can also make that happen by not resigning Sprong, Kane (and Fischer - although he falls into different category of player)

I can see not bringing Sprong back.

He may get overpaid in UFA.

But I'd sure like to see Kane return.

I've really enjoyed watching him play in Detroit with Cat.

It's helped me survive my depression watching the Sharks! 😁

While it’s likely just by chance and the crazy stretch the Wings had in December. The team’s record with Kane (6-9-4) vs without Kane (20-9-1) does bring me some pause, despite knowing Kane has looked fantastic and instantly brings a winning pedigree to this team.

Because of that, I’m torn if it is or isn’t the right move to try and bring him back.

Sprong I can also see possibly going either way. But he has been very good for us.
