Well keep dreaming, both of those Flyers trades are terrible for Philly

Sure but can you make it not a LHD? Or a younger one with AHL term left?

I mean I dont know about TERRIBLE. may not be exact value. However the Konecny trade. I really dont know..
I would think they would want a top prospect and a 1st as a starter... I know Cowan isnt a top tier prospect in the League but hes one of the best Toronto has...
So usually star players from what i see begin at a Top Prospect, a First and a Roster Player. That seems to be the start.
Bertuzzi wouldnt be a bad pickup for Philly as they could retain and flip him for more picks. If they retained 50% on Bertuzzi they could get a lower 1st for sure.
So youd be looking at.
2 1sts
Cowan
5th
for
Konecny
So pretty much 3 first round picks. Thats pretty good for Konecny I would think....

the 2.5M retained really means nothing. And also the flyers dont have to retain on Konecny which alot of other teams willl want.

I really dont know what Seller is worth I figure hes a good 5-6 Dman. I wouldnt think they would be worth anymore then a 5th-6th... I would think Timmins could fetch a 3rd or a 4th....

Terrible might be a slight stretch, but it's not great for a player like TK having a great season. Cowan isn't bad, nothing amazing but definitely would be a solid piece in a deal. The 1st round pick you have in the deal is a 2026 pick, that lessens its value. I highly doubt we are trading our best trade chip for a 1st two years from now. As for Bertuzzi, I doubt he waives his NMC to go to Philly. Saying he will return a 1st with the season he is having is a stretch. The biggest thing is I'm sure another team can make a better offer.

As for Seeler he is having a career year and is worth at least a 3rd, maybe more. Timmons isn't a bad player but he is often banged up and we just don't need a defenseman in return. We currently have 8 dmen on the NHL roster and 5 guys in the AHL that have the chance of an NHL future (plus Bonk who is having a great season in London). Just a trade that doesn't make sense for PHI, make it just a 3rd and that works.

Yeah, no, no ones coughing up a first for Bert with the season he's having.

I would consider that Caps trade if TvR or Jensen get moved.

I somewhat disagree, with Berts past in the playoffs I bet there would be a team that would give up say the 30th overall pick in a very slim draft this year if the team retained 50% for the rest of the year. I could see it. Even if the team needed to add a mid tier prospect I could see it.
