Leafs need 2 RD, not LD.

Yes, Calgary will want minimum 3 pieces for hanifin. Yes hanifin would be great for us as second line LD! But we still need a good RD to balance the pairings.
Also no way TO trades Samsonov. He can still improve and he is gone as a Ufa at end of year. Better to keep then sell to give him away.

That's what I was thinking. Send Soderblom down to work on things since he's waiver exempt which allows Rockford to send Weeks back to Indy. It strengthens all three levels of the organization.

More silliness trade Samsonov away. Ferraro isn't worth that. Even Hanifan isn't going to be a difference maker, so why give away a first rounder. Yeah someone likely gives Calgary more, but why should teh Leafs?

Or just put Samsonov on waivers and send him to Rockford. Sody has played pretty well in his last 3 starts. He might be turning the corner.
