Be surprised if Buffalo did this deal, Joker shouldn't be the one sitting for Buffalo. He's been decent to good most nights He's played. And I still think Krebs has more to give if they give him more of a shot.

Not a big fan of jokiharju, but it's mostly because I think the Sabres are gonna go dahlin, power, Samuelsson going forward, and I would rather round out the bottom 3 with a not puck moving skill set. Johnson makes a compelling case to join the mix, but that makes me want a bigger tougher defensive d, even more, for those other two spots. So I'm fine with moving jokiharju, but it's gotta make sense, I don't think this trade does.

You guys are getting further away with these Buch offers, not closer. The retention you want is worth about a 2nd, which means you'd be paying a bunch of scraps that dont fit Blues needs at all for Buch. Not even close, man.

It comes down to the idea that Vancouver isn’t necessarily an ideal trade partner with Buffalo. They don’t really have what Buffalo needs, and the pieces Buffalo would want from them are not pieces they are willing to give up. I really like Dakota Joshua but I would go after him in free agency instead of trading for him.

Blues easily decline. Podklozin isn't a need because we have a lot of forward prospects. The other 2 are just throw ins that don't add much quality at all to this package. This is easily beaten by other teams
