So the thing is that K.D. Has gone on record saying they aren’t going after “the big ticket free agents “, but will still need to spend money to get to the cap floor. There are several ways to accomplish this but which option will he take. Obviously the more roster spots that are left open for prospects (assuming they are believed to be ready) the better the Hawks will be in the long run. So someone is getting paid handsomely. Is it/are they players on the team now who are on expiring contracts, is it players from other teams that will be free agents, is it players like Hall & Foligno that are cap casualties or is it players on bad contracts that will have picks/prospects attached to them. I don’t have the answers but can’t wait to find out.
