I don't think VAN accepts. The delta between Norris and Petty is more than 1.5 years of Church and a pick in the late 20's possibly 30.

As far as Church can be signed this summer. Yeah, I mean a lot can happen this summer. Petty has arb rights for a year too. Unless Church is committing to a good deal it doesn't help much more than a UFA signing.

And when players like that hit free agency , they’re extremely overpaid aka John Tavares and even then Tavares only had the intention of possibly signing with 3 teams.
