Leafs obviously decline islanders and decline to over pay for walker too

It is shocking how many leaf fans just don't understand the problems with our Blueline. Liljegren is going to be top by the playoffs and will play well. He's very good and will continue to grow.

Worst case you, they trade Liljegren for Walker 1 for 1 and that would be a mistake, but at least you save a Niemela, a 3rd, and a 5th. I bet that PHI would be willing to give Walker+a 2nd or 3rd for Liljegren.

A lot of teams will be that Liljegren price. (When he is healthy)

Moldenhauer is really skilled, but man, he gets pushed off the puck easily. I was bullish on him in junior, but less so now.

I get that some people would want to move off of him because of his injuries but it's crazy that he doesn't get any recognition. If he was on a different team and on the block, they would probably be giving a 1st for him. Like Palhal says "The Leaf players always suck and everyone else's players are always better" or in other words "Everyone is worse when they put on the white and blue."

Trading TimmyL and Niemela for a rental and some meh picks is really shortsighted, draining the pool for short term help isn't a good idea too often if ever.

It's mind numbing. The Leafs defence can't get the puck out of their zone and many are too slow to prevent clean zone entries. Better trade Liljegren so we can get a really slow guy who hits. It's insane

Islanders do not need Liljegren, but would not pass up that price. If you wanted to dump him that bad, someone would surely pay more than that.

If leafs fans are willing to sell him that cheap I'd take him on NJD

Why is there this certain sect of Leafs fans who seem to hate Liljegren? He's still young and doesn't kill you on the middle pair, and there seems to be more left to unlock for him. Why would you just cast him off for a pair of mid-rounders like this?
