I think to get Jenner, it will have to cost one of Knies, Minten, Cowan, or Robertson (they will definitely want futures). Knies is an untouchable, Cowan is dominating and shown very good promise during training camp. It came down to Minten and Robertson. For Minten, centres are hard to find and I don't know if the Leafs want to give up a centre over a winger

Out of those four, Robertson seems the most "replaceable" but want to get value back if we were to trade him

After seeing old Willy again these past few games, I would be upset as a Leafs fan if they paid him 10M+. Should have traded him while he was hot

Which is exactly why CBJ would want Minteen would be the guy they require they're losing their 1C and, Robertsons injury history should Make teams weary diminishing if not eliminating his trade value. Teams take injury prone "most replaceable" guys all the time.

Imo next season they should have a new Captain but not someone on this years roster. Change of attitude starts with the Captain, let's have the rest of the team follow him to war in the playoffs. Leading by example in all aspects of the game is something this team doesn't have and hasn't had for years with the guy wearing the C.

I agree they would want Mints and I could see it. At the same time, Minten has a bigger chance of flopping then Robertson considering Robertson is already NHL ready and putting up points

The problem with Robertson is 17,38,27 combined AHL/NHL games played the last 3 seasons. He fails in having the most important ability a player has to have to matter, and until he proves he can he'll be seen as pretty worthless. That ability is availability. Wayne Gretzky in his prime would've been worthless playing 82 games in 3 seasons. Especially considering 51 of those 82 were AHL games.
