I agree that it wont happen, but that is an extremely steep price to pay and I think it would completely hamstring us for the future. You are taking away our short and long term future and if he demands a trade then that would lower the asking price

The problem is it looks like the Canucks are giving up a lot but when you add an elite, inexpensive young talent like Bedard to Vancouver’s current roster, chances are those three 1st round picks are in the 28-32 range. Chicago would want to be guaranteed they are getting an elite talent in return and this proposal doesn’t offer that… this is easy for Chicago to decline.

He has already signed his ELC so maybe 3 years from now?

You both missed the point of my comment based on the description. Paraphrasing your words "I know it's never going to happen and it's not enough anyway to get Bedard", so my question is a legitimate one....why post it, what's the point? It's a legitimate question given your own description; some may interpret you as a trolling for the sake of garnering responses.

During a rebuild, I'm not sure I'd want roster players and you don't have anyone enticing because lets be honest asking for Hughes or the real Elias Pettersson isn't realistic. Beyond that what am I supposed to do with Brock Boeser or Conor Garland during a rebuild? Also, you bring in Bedard to compliment those players and the chemistry they have not to subtract the good thing you guys have going.

I'd think Tom Willander, Vasily Podkolzin, and next 3 1st unprotected. But again I recognize that that's bad for Vancouver. Those are my thoughts.
