Not really looking to add Mitts. Let's keep the 2nds and stay the course. You don't think we can get something slightly better for taking on Campbell? I understand that pick could be pretty good, but a 1st + 3rd isn't much.

I've never been a mittelstadt fan, but even I will admit he has been a much better player over the last calendar year. He's going to get the opportunity to prove he should be a core player here, and be paid like one. Personally, I don't want him to be our 3rd line center, neither Thompson nor cozens have shown a strong two way game, which to me means getting a solid two way center would be a better fit. I don't expect that adams will move mittelstadt though, they seem to think that filling all holes from within is the only answer. Either way, a pair of seconds and another undersized forward wouldn't generate much interest from buffalo.

Not nearly enough to take on 3+ years of Campbell. Takes the equivalent of at least two 1st's at a minimum. And I don't see Mitts as the answer at 2C. His two way game isn't good enough and he's weak at the dot.

The only way that pick is enough to dump Campbell is if EDM misses the playoffs. Otherwise this would be a crazy discount.

If Buffalo is interested in trading Mittelstadt, either because they can’t afford what he’s worth after this year, or because they have another need they would rather fill, I don’t necessarily see anything fitting that description in Chicago. If he produces another 50 to 60 points season, I would think other teams will be interested in him too.

What Buffalo desperately needs is a solid, defensive Center who wins face offs, can kill penalties and probably still put up around 40 or 50 points would be nice. I would think every team needs a guy like that, and if you have one, he’s probably not available. But if they can bring in a player around the same age as the rest of their core, that can fill that role, they also have plenty of assets that otherwise won’t make this roster they can give to get that player.

Not sure Vlasic goes full 8 years, but works for me.

Would like to see Raddysh extended similar to this if he isn't moved for a nice haul at the deadline.
Phillips getting another cheap year to prove he belongs with the big club as well looks good.
Definitely down for the Campbell trade to get the '24 1st in particular. I'd like that '26 3rd to be a 2nd or 1st seeing as Campbells's contract runs through the first year of Bedard's first big boy deal though, and isn't cheap.
Personally not interested in trading for Mittelstadt really at all, I'd rather stay the course or go hunting for a bigger fish.
