Have you looked at the buyout details of the deal? .. eventually it’s a higher cap hit to have him not play than it is to just sit him in the press box. Horrible idea to buy him out unless you’re name is Bill Guerin.

Perron has been meh and Chiarot is awful. We get a 3rd, get rid of a horrible contract and a guy who is probably gone anyways.

If you want to dump so bad retain like 2m and trade him. There's no point of buying out a player that isn't that far off from a tradeable contract, especially with that term.

If you hate Nurse, just wait until you see Ben Chiarot play. Ignoring the fact that trading Nurse would make the team notably worse, if you're insistent on getting rid of him, just retain 2 to 3mil in cap and I'm certain you could get an asset in return while also not having 14 years of dead cap.
