Yeah that's probably true

Bruins say no, Carlo is too important. He's been our 2nd best defenseman to start the year and is an underrated big part of the leadership core now that Bergeron and Krejci are retired. Value is probably around fair though and the bruins do have a need another top 6 winger, particularly a right shot RW.

There are very few players in the league that get Carlo on the table. Every one of them is a young #1 center.

A higher end defensive D, who can eat minutes and is a RD! blows Bathersons value out of the water.
The Sens would have to overpay to a stupid degree to get Boston to consider.
Not worth either teams time to pickup the phone.

I think the Sens should go after Peeke but thats just me.

Peeke's defensive numbers are awful

They aren’t awful when you consider he’s a defensive d who was improperly utilized and deployed in top quality minutes and assignments. He would be the best option for the Sens third RD behind whoever’s on their offside and Zub.

He’s not a top pairing d men like he was being used as. He’s a bottom pair guy and those are still important.

Fits a big need for both teams but also removes a big need at the same time. Hard to make it fit

Ottawa would really need Carlo but removing Batherson's contract is also not a great thing. If Norris stays healthy and the Sens have a new coaching staff, Batherson will look much better. They could use a LWer like Joseph too
