Wow that Markstrom trade is just so out of touch with reality. How do you figure he will get more than Saros would?! Goalies just don't have this kind of value, you may get a 1st and 2nd max (and that's being generous) but this is just so far beyond reality that Michael Jackson comes back just to tell you to "Beat it"

The value on the Pens trade is probably close, but they don't have the cap space to fit Dube. Pitlick is in the minors right now, so his hit is basically off the books. If you re-worked it to take a roster player and retain? That might work.

I'm not sure your need on D, but maybe Pierre Olivier Joseph and a 2nd with 50% retained on Dube would make a bit more sense. At least from the Pens' side. Or maybe Nieto + 2nd with 50% retained on Dube.

The Markstrom trade is a huge overpayment for him, it's a no brainer Calgary would accept it immediately. The rest of the trades are bad ones for the Flames they can get more for those players.
