And Knies has played pretty well thus far, especially bc he's been great on the PK

I want to see more of Knies, the bit I have seen he looks like the real deal. He was definitely hyped quite a bit, for good reason, he's living up to it. Minten blew up in the preseason attention wise, I got kinda sick of hearing his name lmao. He seems to have gotten hyped a bit too much a bit too soon, but that's what the Toronto media does, so it can be expected. Looking back I'd probably put Clarke above him though, his hype just slowly died as the preseason went on.

I feel as though the Minten hype was more of him making the team (which he did) out of preseason and how that would be the first time in a ling time since a rookie from the Leafs made the team out of preseason... Knies has been doing a lot of the right things... Puck recoveries and going to the right spots... But I would say guys like Hughes, Cooley, Clarke, Carlson, Fantilli etc. got more hype. There's a lot of Knies' production that's not coming from points but the defensive side of things, especially to playing in the top 6 like Poitras, Bedard, Cooley, Hughes (Top 4), Carlson etc. are getting... So I would personally, have Knies in the 3 slot with potential to move up...

Good case for Knies, he's had a pretty comparable start to Poitras. I did give his the tiebreaker for the 3rd spot because he's a bit younger, and had no NHL experience before this year. I know Knies' was very brief though. Either way, pumped to see a little rookie rivalry between the two. Will be fun.

Bedard and Cooley appear as advertised. Have been impressed with Poitras, Lacombe, Jiricek too. Luke isn’t being treated like rookie…thrown right into PP1 and in tough defensive situations. Can’t complain this far. Look forward to seeing the rest of these guys.

i guess you just probably forgot to put greig there. but a very underated guy is faber from the wilds. he wont put a ton of points, but he is the most realiable rookie dman in my opinion.

Not a game breaker in the way that some of these guys are/will be, but Ridly Greig has had a great start as well. Has settled in very well with Joseph and Tarasenko, and he's a big reason why Tarasenko is tied for the scoring lead in Ottawa. Crafty passer, sound 3 zone player, penalty kill option and he's been really effective at rattling the cages of good players. He's a little ball of hate and he's already using that to impact the game at the NHL level. Probably won't hover just under point per game for much of the season, but there's a lot to like about his start, especially because he essentially broke camp as a fill in for Pinto.

Understandable, I would have given the edge to Knies bc Knies isn't playing in the top 6 but pumped to watch the Bruins vs Toronto... Even just to see Reaves and Lucic go at it
