Does Pinto have to clear waivers to be sent down to Belleville? If he doesn’t have too clear waivers, Sens could sign him to a $3M 1 year contract and call him up when the cap situation gets resolved through a trade or injury.

If he does get signed then he'll have to clear waivers yes unless it's a conditioning loan but those are complicated to pull off and don't give cap relief.

Yeah but even if he passes through waivers somehow (which he wouldn’t) OTT would still be over the cap even sending him down

The best move would have been putting Norris on LTIR for the limited amount of time 10 games I believe and then resigning pinto and giving the team time to make moves without missing both players.

Problem is Norris wouldn't agree to LTIR and thinks he will be back sooner.
