Joseph is on track to bounce back and we are not paying to move him.

Ottawa declines.

Sharks aren't making the playoffs with that defense. Horrid. Forward group is better, but still not as good as Edmonton, Vegas, Kings, Flames, Kraken or Canucks.

To be a legit playoff and cup contender you need to build a team with a strong group of centers, two good RD with At least 1 being an offensive guy and PP QB, and an above average Goalie.

Now I do actually think the sharks have a competitive center group with Hertl, Couture, Granlund, and Sturm. But they are also all getting older. We have no RD that compare with any of the legit playoff teams RD. And our goalies are very weak.

While Knight might change that I’m not sold on him with his mental health issues. Though I would take a flyer on him for a 4th round pick, and not sure why Florida would ever do that.
Sharks are 2-3 years from being a playoff fringe team IMO.

Issue for Sharks is that by the time they are a playoff team, their current center group will be too old (minus Smith). They defs need to draft better dman too. It will be a while before they're competitive again.

TB says pass thanks.

Bit expensive for a 7/8 defenseman. . Both in terms of AAV and cost to acquire him.

Smith will wind up being a RW in the NHL, being a C will limit his creativity and skill, I think if the sharks can get Celebrini LHC in 24 and Hensler RD in 25, and a G prospect with the sharks 2nd or if we get the NJD 1st and another good D with the Pit pick sharks would be in much much better shape! Then with 27 mil in cap space we could add some stop gap FA to help the team till the prospects hit their prime.

Sharks org have every intention to have Smith as a C. They have said as much already. He will 100% be a center.

Something to do with high-end drug trafficking. I can’t go into details.

Toronto said the same about Marner! Maybe after a few years but I promise you he either winds up a RW or starts his career as a RW! Especially if sharks get Celebrini.

He may start as a winger like Hertl did. Also I don’t think we’ll draft number 1 also don’t think Grier takes Celebrini over Eiserman.

Cup contenders are build down the middle and RD! So if you get a 1st or 2nd OA you go for the C! Plus with Eklund Musty and Gushin plus Couture and Bordeleau (one of them ends up a LW and the other a C) and if we resign Zadina and Barabanov (both are LW playing RW) to me it looks far more likely Grier looks for top line C, RD, RW as the biggest need. So if not Celebrini likely Levshunov or Dandenov before Eiserman.

But it is hard to not look at Eisermans scoring ability and not take him.

Which is why Grier drafted a Center, Will Smith this summer. 😉

I get that but a lot of scouts say he is better suited to be a winger that the things we love about his game get tempered a bit as a C.
Plus if we get Celebrini now sharks are set at C!
Hertl
Celebrini
Bordeleau
Bystedt
With Eklund and Smith who can sub in down the middle when needed!

Bystedt is a great 3/4C option for the sharks but I wouldn’t peg him as a 2c like some fans are hoping for!!!

You’re welcome to your opinion but many would disagree with this…calling Bystedt a 4C is a very odd opinion. Again, you’re entitled but this is a very isolated opinion

You seem to be one of those guys thats really hard on Mike Grier due to some weird personal issue like race. Few too many sharks fans like this

this seems like quite a reach. I think bystedt's ceiling is as a 2c on a very competitive team, but most prospects dont reach their ceilings so it's completely reasonable to pencil in bystedt as a future 3c. Good practice when building is to assume people won't reach their peaks and plan around it. But in 3 years having Smith as a 1/2 C and Hertl as a 2/1C with bystedt at 3C I think is some excellent center depth.

I also think it's completely reasonable to pencil in bystedt as a future 2c. He has all the tools, size, and skating to be a 2 way monster.

No, it's a lot more that 1 game. It's what he did this summer, in training camp, in the preseason games and in the first game of the season. The message is pretty clear :

"Pay to move me and I'll make you look dumb"

It's really really obvious and you'd have to be brain dead in hockey IQ to not see it.

Dorion better trade Kubalik (should have not signed Tarasenko as we couldn't afford it)

Another thing is I think external fans are not looking at the context for Sens fans. We are dealing with a clueless GM who rarely makes the right move and instead does stuff that makes little sense so we have no idea what is going to happen. All we can do is try to let others know what would make sense or not. Of course, if you asked me this summer, I would have told you that the current situation doesn't make any lick of sense and "lol would never happen" but here we are today because we have Pierre Dorion as a GM in the real world. That's how bad he is.

I'm from day 1 didn't want to pay to move Joseph and it's actually been a while (since July 26th) that I wanted to move Kubalik instead

I don't keep track of all ACGMs Sens fans make but MOST of this Joseph ACGMs proposals were from NON-Sens fans... It's kinda important to note. Most Sens fans have not been wanting to move him from pretty much the beginning of TC in September

That has nothing to do with him being "the next McDavid" or not
