Description

Waive Joseph and Hamonic. No one is taking Hamonic for 2 more years with a NMC. Dorion is the only GM who would want that. Hammer agrees to waive and they bury his contract but does not report to BEL, stays on the sideline until there's a injury and he is needed in Ottawa. He's fine with it as no matter what he can be a part of the team if they make the playoffs. That or he stumbles upon Robidas island for a little bit

I mean yeah this makes sense but is clearly not going to happen. If Dorion wanted to do this he wouldn’t have waived Sokolov and JBD to send them down. I take back what I said about it being impossible cause it is clearly possible but it is also clearly not what Dorion is going to do

Hamonic won't waive.

But no worries as Pinto will end up signing for 1 year for less AAV. The contract is probably ready, they are most likely just waiting to officially put Norris on LTIR

And I doubt Norris will be there for long, it's just that it's "convenient" that he is not 100%... He would play if it was the playoffs

Yeah, about 1 month

You don't have to rush a player when he's coming back from a major injury. Kucherov actually came back EARLY a few years ago, it was a hip surgery and his recovery was faster than usual. But people just assumed they cheated the cap because ignorance. The cap doesn't count in the playoffs but it's the same rule for everybody. Just more ignorance

Either way what a mess. A 20 man roster at the cap for a non playoff team. Dorion should have been on CapFriendly and heeding advice from the numerous knowledgable Sens fans on this site.

The only reason they weren't a playoff team last year is because their record against the West. They actually had the 5th best record in the east against other eastern conference teams last year, and 3rd in the Atlantic against other Atlantic teams. They quite clearly improved everywhere but coaching relative to last years' team.
