Hell no on the Stamkos trade, Detroit won't be competitive for the rest of Stamkos career. Detroit is still at least 7-8 years away from being cup competitive. 95% of our current roster won't even be on the team when we start competing for the cup. You don't give up young pieces for an aging player with health issues even if it is Stamkos.

I can assure you that Detroit isn't giving up all that for a 33yr old Stamkos.

Stamkos is barely worth his current contract and Yzerman knew that. There are at least 5 players more important to the Bolts success than Stamkos, why would he just hand out an absurd AAV?
