I 100% believe that stanley Thompson would be the worse pair in the nhl no doubt

Isn't a RHD the last thing that Columbus needs another one of?

It would be bold for Cheveldayoff to give up on the Logan Stanley Experience. He is a 7/8 defenseman, but I think Chevy is too stubborn.

Bean could be had for a late pick alone. Columbus definitely does not need RD.

Am I the only Ducks fan who thinks the only way Lacombe doesn’t play 82 games with ANA is because of an injury? That kid looks fully NHL ready as a 3rd pair defender. Moreso than Minty or Zell by a good margin.

Would love to add a 2LD to pair with Drys, but would absolutely not add a 3rd

I was going to come back in because I noticed LaCombe was sent down but Bean was brought in. I don't think we need any more puck movers, especially after claiming Lassi. I also think claiming Lasso was purely to put pressure on Drysdale and we waive him after Drysdale signs.

Bean would be a solid pick up for this D core.

I love Thompson as a Sens fan, but he isn't ready for the NHL yet his pre-season wasn't great and he is basically the same player as Brannstrom, hope he does get it right with the Ducks.

I think it was just good asset management. He’s struggled, but has value and a solid ceiling. If you can add that without losing anything, you do it. Let him be a 7th Dman initially and build confidence playing here and there until he can earn a full time spot. Prefer him as a scratch over the likes of White/Hagg

Maybe, but we don't have a defensively responsible LHD to play Drysdale with, let alone Thompson. Maybe we can swap him to a team who's light on RD and get a 2nd pairing LHD short term guy back.

I think league wide he's probably a 7th or 8th Dman, but within the Jets org (based on preseason and last year) I honestly think he's the 10th guy. IMO it goes Ville, Capo, Chisholm, Stanley. I think the smart move is for the Jets to waive Capo and Stanley. Neither are part of the Jets future. Although Capo is damn good as the 7th guy, Ville and Chisholm need to be given the opportunity this year.

When it comes to trading Stanley, I don't think he's worth a 6th round pick at this point. I hope he gets a chance to stay in the big league and become the fabled 6'7" monster he was supposed to be, but there isn't any room for him on the Jets roster anymore. (Someone please take Stanley on waivers, let us keep Capo)

Yeah I agree there’s not really a hole that he fits neatly into, and also that we’re missing a big vet 2LD to pair with Drys. Still like shooting this shot though. Low/no risk move that brings young talent to the organization at no cost

Nope, not at all. I am really excited to watch LaCombe play this year. I dont see him playing anywhere but Anaheim this year and I think he will surprise a lot of people. Just plays a very smart and mature game with tons of offensive upside. It'll be fun to see what he can do

Supposedly JBD is hitting waivers tomorrow, wonder if we cut Lassi loose and grab him instead, he fits better than Lassi does IMO.
