Why? Coyotes are way overpaying for two worse players.

Two 40 point players > 1 60 point player who can’t even play a full 82 games

It’ll take two first (an over payment) to get them both

The Norris trade maybe works if that 1st is in the 8-12 range. NYR doesn't touch that trade, for both Laf and Kakko they'd need to be getting a guaranteed ppg player with term back

Never mind total points. Take PP out of the equation and Schmaltz is 45 points while the others are 35 & 37. Once you factor in the even strength TOI which has schmaltz at 16min+ and the others at 13mins they are basically on par with each other. Then the 2 have a higher ceiling. It’s just not close, NYR wouldn’t consider this.

Kudos to you for having the patience to respond to a troll with an ignorant comment…

In the end, Schmaltz for sure could be a very useful addition to NYR…
But I’ll take my chances with BOTH Kakko and LaF passing his production- if deployed properly the flood gates might just open for LaF- whose production to date has been 99% at 5x5. And as far as Kakko…don’t think he’ll ever be a mega point producer… but what he is capable of along the boards and defensively is a big need every team has. As long as his pay is in line with his value to the team, he’s a keeper.

dont see either trade working for either side - think AZ is happy w current F group any big trade will be top pair D, dont see NYR doing a 2 for 1 F swap if they in win now mode and OTT is coming out of rebuild dont see how trading 2C for picks helps move the team forward

if you only look at even strength then keller > driasaitl, nelson > matthews, EK > Mckinnon - yes ES is important but like +/- not end all. still dont think NYR or AZ would do the trade.

As good as Norris may someday become, and the jury is still very much out, Arizona isn't trading that 1st until they know it's not going to be a lottery pick. Maybe top 10 protected? But they've got Cooley and Hayton, and Geekie is somewhere on the way, they're not in a hurry to trade for an older and more expensive guy. They'll have some patience with their own assets.

Rangers say no chance. They don't need another center and are not trading either Laffy or Kakko. Maybe the Devils should trade for Schmaltz for Marino and Dawson?

Norris is not for trade and I doubt Brady would be very happy with this

Even then... a 8-12th OA pick is not really exciting for a player of Norris' caliber

Would you trade Suzuki for the 10th OA pick in 2024?

May become? lol what?

You're talking as if he was a prospect... Did you know that he scored 47 goals in 91 games prior to last season? 12th best GPG in the NHL during that stretch, yeah with the other elite goal scorers... Oh and that was as a 21-22 y/o in addition to a top notch defense against elite competition night after night

Sens don't do that trade, even if no protection
