Absolutely not, Mateychuk is our future LD2 and a potential future captain. I’m not moving him for anything less than an extreme overpay

avs trade players with term for players with no term, add a 1st to boot, and in return just get much, much worse at D and find themselves likely over the cap. No thanks.

Lindholm to the Avs makes sense for someone like Toews, rental for rental, but i still don't think the Avs are interested at this point.

This. The term thing is a deal breaker; it makes no sense. Plus, until Avs know what's happening with Toews, they don't think about moving Byram (and I doubt it's a consideration even then). If Avs are moving any defenders, they look at Manson first, then Girard.

laugh Shane Pinto isn't no 1C he's a 3C at best. Colorado isn't trading Byram for two rentals. Lindholm and Hanifin would cost minimally $15,000,000 combined long term. Unless Landeskog has a career ending injury. There's no freaking way Sakic could afford both players.

Agreed. I'd consider Svozil or Dumais, though. Especially if Backlund is willing ot extend for two years.

The ONLY reason why Ottawa would consider moving Joseph is to get compliant to sign Pinto, not move them both in the same trade

Tanev is still good defensively but the guy is soon 34 y/o and has a long injury list, plus UFA-to-be so he doesn't nearly have that trade value

And the defense is fine, Chabot-Chychrun-Sanderson-Zub is a pretty solid Top-4, Zub is actually similar as Tanev

There's also a massive log jam for the bottom pair, Brannstrom, Kleven, Thomson, JBD, Hamonic, Guenette and more

So he has already peaked at 22 y/o after missing a whole season in a role he was not ready for? (Sens fans see him as a 2-way 2nd line C)

Norris is a country mile better than Pinto, The only way Pinto becomes a 2 way 2C in Ottawa is if Norris has a career ending injury. Right now in depth Stutzle and Norris are the Sens 1C and 2C Pinto isn't even close.

This is a weird way of thinking of a players value.

So Wolf isn't worth much because he's the third best Goalie on the Flames and there are two better goalies on the roster? Sounds absurd doesn't it?

Evaluating players on where they are currently playing in their teams organizational chart is not how it works.

So the Avs get two rentals and give you a 22 year old top pairing guy and a 25 year old second pairing guy. Oh, and they also give up a 1st.

Did you bother thinking for just half a second before posting this brain dead garbage? Yeeeesh

What does it have to do with "Shane Pinto isn't no 1C he's a 3C at best"???

Even if the Sens had 3 McDavids, that doesn't make Pinto a 4C at best... One of them will be traded (most likely Pinto) down the road
