Caps don't need nor want Foegele, he's extra cap (that Washington can't afford) on a team with an excess of wingers.

The ask for Nylander would be higher than that, and wouldn't be even worth it for the Oilers since they wouldn't be able to keep him around. Kane would mostly be a cap component and the roster player that sort of replaces Nylander in the line-up, but Bourgault and Savoie aren't pieces that a team in Toronto's position would be interested especially since they already have a lot of young wingers and prospects. I would imagine that Treliving would want Broberg as part of the package, and there's just no way Holland would do that, especially for a pending ufa winger.

I don't think it's a horrible trade, my personal preference would be to just keep Nylander.

Kane's health is a bit of a concern, but not really a deal breaker. TOR could move that first to add to the roster, but whoever they add would essentially be making up the difference between Nylander and Kane anyway.

Value may be there but the trade itself is terrible for Edmonton

Well he would have a lot more value to EDM at a cheaper cap hit obviously nylander is the better player and has more value than Kane to other teams but nylanders value to EDM isn’t very high due to his cap hit and only one year left on his contract.

Nylander is a rental that they won't be able to re-sign. They brought Kane in for his physicality and goal scoring, Nylander isn't the same type of player at all.

3 years of Kane > 1 year of Nylander.
