Replace the "anyone who knows anything about hockey" with the "the calculators, the analytics community, the Dubas followers doesn't like him" tears of joy

Anyone who understands how to win knows this

The only time he stepped away from analytics? Lol, oh dude what kind of adds do you think ROR, Mccabe and the rest were?
Genuinely hilarious stuff

He brought in guys who plays with heart and grit. Moved away from the Denis Malgins and the Colin Blackwells and brought in warriors. The only time I can admit it and it rewarded him with a series win

I wonder why the season before when he brought Giordano and Blackwell, they didn't win a playoff series. I thought soft hockey wins you cups

If I believed in analytics, Dubas would have won a cup in his 5 years of failing the Leafs. The first and only time he stepped away from analytics, he won a playoff series

All I need to know about analytics, numbers, and calculators

Bad teams analytically don't make the playoffs let alone win.

Grit and warriors wins playoff series. Analytics, numbers, and calculators helps you to have a great regular season

You are saying GIo isn't a warrior? Rielly is an analytics darling and was the best player in the playoffs for the leafs.

I don't look at numbers or analytics. Rielly is a warrior, he showed it on the ice

Giordano had a terrible playoffs lol

The analytics community despises him. The people who uses the eye tests knows what he's all about. Straight line player and speed

You don't win with analytics, ask Dubas

Why? The only disappointment for me were Montreal, which was entirely due to poor coaching and goaltending. Campbell gave up some weak goals and Price didn't let in anything. And Keefe never adjusts. Tampa was the team to beat still and losing to them isn't surprising. They lost to Boston who was a top team and Washington when they were a top team too. Columbus was a 5 game series so I don't care about that much.

Florida was coaching as well. You don't get it because you don't see anything but hits and goonerh

You think Tampa would go after guys like Coleman and Goodrow if they followed analytics? You think they would go after Luke Schenn if they followed analytics? David Savard?

All Tampa did was bring in warriors and players who had grit and heart. I don't see them adding guys like Denis Malgin or Colin Blackwell

I love Anderson, his speed is what I like the most about him. If Cooper (2x Stanley cup winning coach) dedicated their Lightning loss to the Blue Jackets because of Josh Anderson, all you need to know. I would rather listen to a coach that knows how to win then the analytics community lmao

This is not the hill to die on, but Josh is a valuable player who has had the misfortune of playing for some bad teams.

I think, like a lot of Habs or the Bergevin era, he's overpaid by 1-1.5M

Bergevin had to overpay to get anyone to sign in Montreal. The one time he refused to overpay, he let Danault walk, which was foolish.

No one would hate Josh Anderson if he made 4M.

The stars need to elevate to being warriors, I won't disagree. But trading good players for 3rd line guys who don't do anything but hit and play horrible defence don't win. Anderson isn't a difference maker, he's a scrub. If he made 2 million, I would pay a 3rd for him maybe.

All I saw in the Florida series was Bennet rag dolling Knies around. I also remember when Tkachuk punched Marner in the face and all he did was laugh. Gudas dumped Kampf to the boards, did anyone do anything?

They won the game Tkachuk did that so him punching Marner accomplished nothing. Bennet should have been suspended for that but the league doesn't ref in the playoffs

Yes, coleman and goodrow were analytics darlings and luke schenn had decent bottom pairing analytics and was by far their leaat used defender and many moons ago savard was also very well regarded analytically until he got old and hurt.
So yeah, tampa loves analytics.
I also find your weird little blackwell thing funny, like he was an all effort motor of a 4th liner and he was fine but you're acting like dubas brought him in to play on the top line.
