The value of Lafferty here is very far off.
Not sure what the Leafs would get for him given their current cap situation but I know with 100% certainty the Blackhawks had numerous teams offering a 2nd last year.
He is top 3 in the league in PK zone entries. He forchecks very well (comparable to Sam Bennett) and is solid defensively 5v5.
All this to say he could have much for value than a 4th, a 6th is a joke.
More importantly he likely brings skills that the Leafs can't afford to use, he also makes little sense for a team like Colorado who have some great PK guys already. (maybe to them him value is just a 4th).
So #1 Leafs are highly unlikely to trade Lafferty, not as simple as Reaves for Lafferty, none of their new acquisitions (Klingberg, Domi, Bertuzzi, Reaves) can play on the PK.
#2 if they did expect them to get a 3rd minimum unless they need to move him to be cap compliant then a 4th or later might happen. This would be horrible asset management given the price to acquire him just 6 months ago.
