Well he’s got to choose 16 teams he’d accept a deal to. Honestly don’t care much about the return, just looking to get the deal off the books. I really wish we could move the Panarin deal.I like Trocheck and him as 2RW is fine, plus takes some pressure off Chytil. I’m not sure Columbus parts with Sillinger (could be wrong here), but I like the long term thinking here. Personally think we should give Garand a big chance to see if he can take over for Shesty (not trying to pay him $9.5 mil plus for 8 years).

Unfortunately, Columbus cannot afford that contract, and he simply won’t get the power play time on a team that already has Gaudreau and Laine. Since Kreider is a PP merchant, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

I think with fantilli add Sillinger likely gets move anyway. But shesterkin is the goalie who can care a whole team if need be and those don't grow on trees. With how much the caps supposed to go up my preferred contract for shesty would be 8x8 but I'll take 9.5x8

Probably Fantilli by the end of the season. And then there’s no need to be paying a 2LW that much money til he’s 36. Rags are in win now mode and Kreider fits their timeline; by the time CBJ are actually competitive, he’ll be 33 or 34 and on the downswing for the type of hockey he plays.

I think they look at it as why have Kreider who’s great now, but will be 35 turning 36 by the end of his contract. At 32, they’re probably hesitant to add him at $6.5 mil.

I see fantilli as a shooter not a net front but I could be wrong. Cbj doesn't have to be where he goes just thought he'd help since I feel like if jarmo doesn't g we t the playoffs soon hes gunna be gone

I agree that Columbus has no need for him, but he doesn’t play a super physical game. He’s more of a speedster who’s got great hands at deflecting and parking himself in front of the net. He may slow down a little in the speed department, but I don’t think his ability to park himself in front of the net and deflect can detoriate that quickly. But to each their own.

Team doesn't seem very important. The Rangers could probably get a 1st for Trouba with retention from somebody.

Why are we trading Kreider lol his production matches his salary

Also why do NYR fans think Schneider is ready for 2nd pair role? He will most likely get caved in by top 6 talent

But the thing is, neither of those Rangers are getting traded. Kreider is literally retiring as a Ranger and there's no reason to run him out of town even if the return is good. Trouba might not retire as a NYR but he will finish out his deal at least. Then by the time he's gone Schneider slots in the 2nd pair. I like Trochek as 2RW though. I'd much rather pay that contract for a 2RW than a 3C, which is what he's looking towards as Chytil gets better and better

Realistically? No one, there's not many better one's in the league, so that's kind of a loaded question. Although also realistically, that's where Jenner was deployed a lot last year and in the past, and where it feels like he bangs home like 90% of his goals. He's definitely a good option compared to other teams, so it's not a huge need for CBJ anyway.
