I still think it isn’t doing any favors for the Sabres or Krebs to keep him buried on the 4th line. My 2 cents (that no one asked for) is to find him a spot higher in the lineup or flip him to another team while he’s still got a chance to develop.

Puke Birbed a bit seeing Girgensons resigned and Johnson should be at LD by then.
Peeke really fell of the face off the Earth last year, could be a reclamation project for Granato and could take Johnson’s spot on 3rd pair next year. But think I would change it to a 3rd and 5th.

I'd prefer having Kozak or Biro as our 4th line centre and trading Krebs for a legit RHD. Peeke is hard to figure out.

That's absolutely enough for Peeke. Probably just the 2nd will do. Jackets accept.

Ppl see the Sabres lineups on here,
but have no real understanding of our players utilization

Krebs for example, is routinely listed as the 4C bc that’s where ppl put our “defensive line” that he Centered for much of the season, with Okposo (our Captain), & Girgensons (who wore an A) as his wingers

He wasn’t out there as an afterthought playing 10-12min a night- he was being used in an important role & the Sabres are developing him into a 2way Center

And the guy who did this ACGM isn’t even a Sabres fan,
so he assuredly doesn’t realize the specifics of what we have going on here

Krebs is an important part of our “core” who was a must have in the Eichel trade
Sabres Mgmt likes him A LOT- & he is “being developed”

Ah, there you go. Now you definitely sound like a Sabres fan. A condescending jerk who thinks they are the smartest guy in the room. Sorry, that I had the audacity to make an observation. I’ll go face the corner & think about what I did.

You entered this conversation "My 2 cents (that no one asked for)" then you debase yourself by calling @AntiAnalytics "A condescending jerk."
He did not insult you, he expressed the facts of life in responce to your comment.
That is what is done on this site.
Granato sees great potential in Krebs as a potential 200 ft forward, and placed him on a line to help him develop those skills
Who do you see him replacing, Thompson, Cozens or Mittelstadt?
If your are only going to insult it would be best to not comment.

Jfc dude
You made some incorrect observations about Krebs,

No need for you to be butthurt about it
So sorry for giving you correct info to inform your “2 cents”
Good grief dude

Peeke had the worst goal differential in the league last year. He's not worth a 2nd and you don't want him in the top-4 if you're planning on making the playoffs.

Of the 215 D-men to play 500+ minutes last season, Peeke was 11th-worst in xGF%, but he was also starting 20.4% of all shifts in the defensive zone (7th-most for those same 215 players) and was 3rd-most in blocked shots for that same group. All this while playing for one of the worst-structured defensive teams in the league, with a revolving door of teammates and partners because of injuries, and typically on the top pair because we had no one else.

I'm no Peeke apologist, but he's a young, durable, physical, minute-munching, shot-blocking 3rd-pair D-man with upside and a decent shot. You probably don't want him in the top 4, but he could be a huge asset locking down the third pair when everyone is healthy or playing up the lineup as injuries occur. He's worth at least a third, and he's certainly not the worst D-man in the league. Factor in that GMs tend to overpay for players like that, and I think CBJ can get a 2nd.

Looking forward to seeing Kozak keep developing. Think in a couple years that Nadeau Kozak Rousek could make a very good 200ft 4th line.

Yes I think Kozak could develop into a perfect 4C, hopefully he's good in the dot. Nadeau I could see as a bottom 6 guy who gets some gritty goals by being net-front. He will need to improve his skating and speed if he wants to make it. Rousek could be a middle 6 guy, he's just so smart and skilled. He needs to add weight and tenacity on the puck imo though

Looking forward to seeing Nadeau in Rochester. Works the boards well and has sneaky hands around the Net. Right about the skating, but like Samuelsson did, he has been working with a Skating Coach the last 2 off-seasons. Remember watching him the game he came back from his Shoulder Injury. Scored 4 goals had like 8 hits. Kid looks out for his Teammates to.

Yes he has a great competitive streak, seems to be a must-have for any Adams' drafted players. He's got the potential to be a big bodied forward who plants himself in front to tip-in shots and clean up rebounds, something we do not currently have on the team (Greenway I don't see fitting well).
