Nah he’s the real deal. Was playing against men in the SHL at the highest level. He developed super well. Was the best player for Rögle in the playoffs. He was on the top pair. Really impressive knowing his age and how hard is to get a roster spot in Sweden. We don’t really talk about him because he’s behind Mailloux Reinbacher Hutson Struble etc.

He's good. He's not projecting to be a top pair defender though.

I know all that stuff but you know who was also thriving in Sweden… Norlinder. I feel like he could be a very good middle pairing guy one day but I don’t see first pairing potential

Too soon junior, especially since Mattias Norrislinder hypetrain just got derailed.

Engstrom at 19 was better than norlinder at 21 which at that point in the development curve is a pretty massive difference.

If engstrom replicates what he did in the latter half of last season again it does make that conversation a bit more realistic

how conveniant the.most underated d prospect is playing for your team. would it have something to do that you dont care about other teams prospect that much?
