Georgiev you could maybe argue for 9th/10th. Korpisalo is nowhere close though
And you know it’s egregious because you and I never agree on anything
Georgiev has never been a top 20 goalie. I wouldn't really advocate for Samsonov to be on here but he was certainly better than at least 2 of these guys and I doubt he is much worse than last year. Personally I think Woll will surpass him this year. Demko is definitely better than a few of these guys as well.
Georgiev is honestly better than people give him credit for. He tied Ullmark for most wins last year (40), was 2nd in the league in shutouts (5), and finished in the league's top 10 for save percentages (.918). I know stats aren'teverything, but I disagree with both of these statements in reference to Georgiev. Ur all right about Korpisalo tho.

Colorado is one of the best defensive teams in the league. Winning with them is easy. Mrazek would win a lot on that squad.

Georgiev had good numbers last year. The stats HM95 posted speak to that. That being said, one season of those numbers doesn't cement a guy as a "top 10". Even with my homer bias, Georgiev needs to put at least one more year of good hockey in before he can be considered.

I mean, you're not wrong, but I think you gotta give Georgiev some credit for stepping up when he needed to. He was given his first legitimate shot at being a full-time player and he took full advantage.

Sort of I guess. I still think he's average. But goaltending is voodoo. Almost anyone can have a huge year in the right circumstance. Remember Dubnyk? Was terrible in Edmonton, average in Phoenix and amazing in Minnesota before being awful again outside of their defence first system. The system and team make a bigger difference for goalies for the most part.
Colorado was screwed with injuries last year. Georgiev is honestly one of the only reasons they finished so well
I think this is justifying his placing. Like TO was a strong defensive team, way better than Washington ever was and Samsonov was great. Actually had better numbers than most of the guys on this list. I don't think he deserves to be top 10 but after the top 5 or so, anyone can finish anywhere.b

Especially younger goalies. Honestly the sample size still isn't big enough for Georgiev yet. I will say, the eye test tells me he is the best starter we've had in Denver since Varly left. No question in my mind.

Calling Joonas Korpisalo a top 10 Goalie in the league is total delusional. Detroit lit him up for about 13 goals this past season. He's slightly average at best.

No you cant. 1 half decent year on a top tier team with one of the best d-cores in the league does not make you a top 10 goalie. Colorado got completely out goalied in the playoffs this season. At the very least Kuemper won the Avs the cup and should be here instead, but I could probably list 10 goalies I would pick before him

I just feel like there’s not a clear 9/10 and there’s a bunch of guys in that tier, Georgiev being one. I personally wouldn’t put him there but I can see why someone would put him there

Bro we won the cup despite Kuemper, not because of him. Also look at what he's done in Washington.......not a great team this year but if he had given them slightly better goaltending they could've snuck in. Francouz was the goalie who stole some games. That being said you're right about Grubauer standing on his head last year in the playoffs. Georgiev had a tired team in front of him but he definitely couldn't steal any of those games for us.
