MTL fans will whine about the price but imo its not too bad. Dvorak is worth nothing, hes not very good. And Petry is worth maybe a 2nd and 4th or so with retention (plz for the love of god dont try to say hes worth a lot because hes not, Habs fans) and Girard is worth around there because COL has little leverage

Exactly - the value’s there, but do the Habs really need a LHD? Since Girard can play both sides I’d do this if I were Kent Hughes

Hronek and Newhook were traded for 1st and 2nd’s Girard is worth more than each of those guys. If COL is to trade Girard it will either be for draft picks and use the cap space internally or for cost controlled young guys not old guys that are pending UFA’s.

If we’re offering Meyers another one year deal at minimum $ then it means he didn’t crack the lineup this season. We’d move on from him before next season
