There isnt a player on the Jets roster worth giving up Dach for. Connor and Ehlers both dont fit the age period this roster is trying to build

Do you understand timing? A trade at the draft to move up MIGHT cost this but right now there's no chance the Jets do this, add another piece of interest like I said and maybe it'd be considered but this deal as proposed here wouldn't, another thing is its a 2025 3rd so the Jets move back in the 2nd round and wait till the following draft for their compensation, yeah thats not happening.

Also there's a good chance the difference between the Habs 2nd and Dallas' could be more then 15 spots.

But theres a graph that shows the value of draft picks says the habs pick is 37th and the Stars pick is 55th, the difference in value would late 4th round pick.

The overvaluation of some players is based on the team structure. Players like Dach, Suzuki, Caufield, to be acquired, would have to be so severely overpaid that it is barely worth it. A great example is the Dubois trade, Kings overpayed like crazy for a player they didnt really need. Habs were only gonna give up what THEY thought the value of the player based on their org composition is worth.

Thats why players like Chiarot go for 1st rounders while the Habs can grab Kovacevic, a much better player, off of waivers.

Along with 3 1sts and a couple blue chips? JK is worth about a 3rd, we acquired Dach for a 13OA & a 3rd. That 2nd is worth...wait for it...a 2nd. Go ahead and "educate" the rest of us as to how your math works. We'll wait. This means that the Mtl 2nd round would be an asset used in a trade for those guys. Do I state that is all that would be involved in such a trade, NO, which apparently seems that you took it as! There of course would be other pieces to that trade, if such a trade happened.

Now, what got me going is simply. Many of the Mtl supporters want that 24 2nd rounder as I've seen, its going to be a good prospect pic. Now, why would Wpg give up a 33rd to 40 overall pic for a 24 Dal 2nd rounder (probably be mid 50 pic and wait another year for 90th pic... Help me understand this.. I think quality of pic should override quantity of pick(s).
