They're the top team I'd consider for replacing any of Boston, Toronto, Tampa, and Florida from last year's Atlantic playoff teams. Detroit is not close imo. Buffalo didn't improve their roster and they've got a lot of guys that will need to set new career highs after just setting career highs if they're going to get better.

I think Buffalo could also knock out another team especially considering the injuries Florida has on D to start the year. I think ottawa and Buffalo knock out Boston and Florida

Shaky defence and questionable goaltending isn’t a wagon unless you’re using a bale wagon.

I just can't see Boston falling off that much. They've still got a lot of great players on their roster. I'd be surprised if they dip below 100 points.

Chabot, Chychrun, Sanderson, Zub and Brannstrom are studs . Idk where u get questionable defence from. 3 potential 40+ pt players and a stud defensive Dman in Zub

Centre is the most important position in hockey . The bruins got 2 below average 2Cs and a below average 3C .

Atlantic is a beast but they’re still 5th or 6th best imo. Basically same team that missed out last year

Norris is back too . Pinto back at 3C. Kubalik good for 20 goals. Tarasenko good for 20 goals. Sanderson is a stud. Chychrun and Chabot are studs. Goaltenxing will be improved over last year . Depth is much better with 3 scoring lines. WAGON

Unsure about what is a stud for you because the way you use the word, 75% of the league are studs. Brannstrom isn't there, The only top pair D is Chabot, the three other are 2nd pair Ds until they take another step. Goaltending could go either way.

Most importantly, it's not only about the players you have, but the coaching and systems. Being a good defensive team is another thing Sens have to do and we'll see if DJ Smith is the guy who can do that. Also, we're waiting on Batherson.

If chyxhrun is on your 2nd pair , you’re a cup contender. And Sanderson is the best 2 way D on the team, absolute stud . Next Slavin or Heiskanen as soon as this year

Chabot looks awful last year, defensively he was really exposed. Chychrun has never really been good defensively and is mediocre offensively. Sanderson was a rookie, most do then have sophomore slump seasons in their 2nd year (look at Seider in Detroit). You can’t purely judge him off 77 career games. Zub is pure defence. Good at that, but there’s very little offence to his game. & Brannstrom is not a stud. He was a healthy scratch last year multiple times.

Ottawa always starts off slow. They never pick it up till it’s too late. They’ll be in a fight for a wildcard spot, but they’re not a top 3 division team in the Atlantic. At best a 4th or 5th

Injuries happen to every team, so be prepared - you’ll lose key pieces again for stretches; never an excuse unless you get blue jacketed or Canadianed which you weren’t last year.
Seem to recall similar bravado out of Ottawa last summer, and then…typical missing of the playoffs. Prepare yourself emotionally- team is better but still not quite good enough imo. Time will tell; it’ll be exciting

Buffalo added Clifton and EJ, neither guy is a big addition but it's what they needed in terms of defense and to improve their PK. Just like OTT, goaltending is going to be a big factor as well. So, while I don't think they will do much in the playoffs, I could see them actually be 1-3 in the division if they can have a strong start. Maybe it will be Ottawa that's the suprise team but personally I'm taking Buffalo.

That being said Toronto and Tampa Bay (now that they have had a longer off-season to rest) could easily be 1 and 2. I also wouldn't count out Boston for a top 2 position (or even Florida) if they could pull off a trade for a 1C. Florida is only a year removed from winning the President's Trophy, a lot of that had to do with high scoring but also solid goaltending. They do have major injuries on the back-end but Ekblad is often injured and everyone thought Boston was going to miss because of McCavoy and Marchand's injuries last year.
