Boston can't afford this even if they mysteriously wanted Granlund. As he isn't better than Coyle or Zacha. If Petry could be traded he would have been. Reality is all the teams that he can't block probably have no interest in him. Could probably at least get a late pick for DeSmith.

Boston doesn’t need an expensive 3c. So they aren’t (like every other teams) paying for Granlund. That makes him negative value. He is a third liner that is heavily overpaid for 2 years, doesn’t hit, and is small.
