Risto's also not a fit on the Rangers, he'd be their 3rd (potential 4th if Lundkvist steps in as well as he's shown in the SHL) best RHD.

Strome has had back to back 49+ point seasons, producing at a .75 ppg pace since becoming a Ranger in the 18-19 season. He even put up 11 points in the 12 games Panarin missed (Putin & Wilson). Yet here he goes for a guy who won't come back to the Sabres, a former 5th rounder and a mid 3rd in a weaker class. Not exactly the best trades here lmao

Lundell + Uens for Buch. Top line winger who'd likely thrive with a playmaker like Huby or dynamic C like Barkov. Yes it's steep but the Rangers need C prospects, especially if they're trading a guy from their 1st line. Maybe they trade one of their D prospects to cover difference. Uens included because he's one of my favorite prospects lmao

Assuming with Trouba out Sat we get both Jones/Tarmo in. Nice. Maybe sit Smith a game or two to let the kids play when Trouba's back. Hopefully with playoff push dead means emphasis can go on getting kids minutes, meaning Gauthier and Barron get in, and Krav moves to the top 6 for good.

I hope the Rangers protect Gauthier over Blackwell... sure Blackwell's on pace for a 50 pt season in an 82 game season, but Gauthier has the higher upside. Being held out of the lineup because he can't crack the top 9. Can see them protecting or exposing him 50/50.

Would love to have Hank back here though, couldn't think of a better mentor for #31 than #30...that being said, I don't know how effective he'd be. Next year I feel like is the first year where playoffs are the expectation, especially if it's back to the Metro
