Canucks aren’t doing that. In the extremely unlikely scenario Pettersson wants out, I doubt he’d want to sign with a worse team than the one he’s currently on

Not a big morale booster to hold the top salary at 7.8 and then bring in a bunch of cap and term in from the outside. Going to lead to some unhappy campers

That joke of an offer, Isn't getting Elias Pettersson out of Vancouver. You want Pettersson? You're going to have to offer far better than that lame crap.

Yeah it's lame crap, Dvorak is garbage, Guhle is the only decent piece in the whole deal. Ylonen is nothing special. Pettersson would cost Detroit Seider and that garbage doesn't remotely get Seider out of Detroit.. Pettersson is far superior to anyone the Habs have on their roster that's for sure.

laugh I can guarantee you, If the Habs got Elias Pettersson they're not getting the 2nd overall pick. And even then this is a much weaker draft and yes that isn't enough alone to get Pettersson out of Vancouver. He's not leaving one bad team for another.

I read it, It's a garbage offer for a top 10 Center in the NHL, No matter how you spin it. That offer doesn't come close to getting Elias Pettersson out of Vancouver. If Pettersson would want out of Vancouver. He sure as hell isn't going to a rebuilding Montreal team.

There Engstrom, Reinbacher, Hutson that are close to Nhl.
There all the ohter d prospect also that are progressing ( Mailloux, Strubble, Trudeau, Nurmi. Guhle sure would be a huge lost but Engstrom could replace him in a near future.

Base on historical trade this is a very solid offer. Not sure how delusional your are from reality but this is a huge haul. A cha ce for either Eiserman who would definitely have been a top 5 pick in 2023 draft or Celebrini who bay the way both where at the u18 and was dominant. And a futur top pairing defenseman with that it’s a pretty good damn start. Ylonen is NhL ready and have shown some very good flashes last year. there a pick and a NHL centerman who can play 18-20 minutes in any situation. Everyone knows he isn’t connor McDavid but he still remains good Nhl players. 15-20 goal a season , excel at faceoff. Because you don’t like the players doesn’t means he doesn’t belong in the NhL. Most of the roster are fill with Dvorak type of players. Not a sexy players but still he is players that coaches like to have because it’s not a high risk rewards situation. So no this pffer isn’t garbage. It’s a very legit offer at the same price Vegas acquired Eichel. Dubois and Oreilly trade can be use also to compare lower offer.

Ghule and the 1st, Dvorak is garbage Ylonene is nothing special. So yeah Ghule and a potential top 10 pick in a weaker draft is nowhere near getting a top 10 Center out of Vancouver. If the Habs want Elias Pettersson it's going to be a lot more painful than this offer. Slafkovsky, Reinbacher Nick Suzuki would need to be included as potential pieces not this lame garbage.

Unless Pettersson demands a trade, Canucks have 0 incentive to trade him. Unless Celebrini is available, they don’t even consider

laugh Sorry but it's not a solid offer, Only thing of value in this trade is the 1st and possibly Ghule, And with Pettersson on Montreal there's a greater liklihood that the 1st is much later than being a top 3 pick in a much weaker draft.

Did you even read the post before! Because it doesn’t even make sense what you say. We trade a lottery pick in the first place to acquire Pettersson. Mtl can finish higher in the standing then the Canuck and still pick 2nd overall. Johnny Gaudreau wanted absolutely to sign with arguably the worst team in the league. Why everything ne to make sense. It’s a fantasy game, how many of you had some prophetic trade proposal. This isn’t science it pure base on preference.

ok, then i'll help you read it. we can do it together. see under additional detaisl in the trade. There is more stuff written there! for exemple : second overall pick. fun fact. this is probably worth more than any pieces montreal have right now that you mentioned.

well this trade apparently happens next year so it doesnt matter. petterson would apparently come after this season so the pick would be set at second.overall already.
