Why are the Ducks giving up a very good prospect at a position of need for some cap dumps?

While we still need to sign Zegras and Terry, The Ducks really cant take on cap unless they are paid very nicely to do so.

Very, Very easy no from ANA here, even if it was for FC's

Gallagher alone would take multiple 1sts to dump. He's due 17M in real money the next two seasons. I would argue outside of Vlasic, Gallagher is the biggest negative value in the league.

I agree with everything you said except the position of need part. Doesn’t Anaheim have 34251 D in their prospect pool

Yes, LHD — only 34250 though not 34251! Lol

We only have 3 RHD right now with Warren being one of those

Warren was one of my favorite d-men in is year draft I would really like that Hughes select him but didn't happen.

In term of money Anaheim could easily sign an UFA for more money then need on an one year deal to reach the floor and would cost nothing except money. For example they could sign p.kane or Tarasenko for 7 to 8m one deal and could promise that if they are not playoffs containder they will trade then to any team they want at deadline keeping 50% retain. Both guys could help the young guys produce and with the experience they have boost they're value and sign big next summer where the cap should have go up more and more team will have cash available.

You do know that there is habs fans outside of Quebec. A lot of them in fact. Probably close to the number of fans Anaheim has.
