Why do you want to ruin Buffalo???
Josh Anderson is a cap dump more or less and there’s no chance at all for Buffalo to resign all their RFAs with 11.5 millions spent on waste

Ehhh, it’s a Yes. They get a nr 2c in Östlund. He was 1c in his second division team in Sweden and was brilliant. Markström is a cap dump that will allow our 2 young nhl caliber goalkeepers to get game time. Bryson and Jokiharju don’t bring any trade value but that first does.

Think of the trade like this:
Lindholm for Östlund, UPL, 2026 1st and 2024 4th.
Markström for Jokiharju and Bryson.

Both trades have equal value

No chance on the CGY trade. I don't think it's good for BUF, anyway. I'm not sure MTL would accept that trade, either

You overvalue Ostlund and undervalue Markstrom

Bertuzzi being on his $5.1M×1 contract being a steal is exactly why Andersonisnt a cap dump. Anyway, it's nor a great trade nonetheless.

Bertuzzi is also a lot better than Anderson. But fair enough he has some value even on that contract albeit not a lot

a lot better...32 in 69(on the Habs) vs 30 in 50(on the Bruins and Red Wings).
They had the same +/- despite Anderson playing on a statistically worse defensive team, and playing more games.
Injury status also can't be brought up seeing as Anderson has played 100 or so more games in only one more season.
I like Bert a lot, love his physical game and playoff game, but the same could be said about Anderson. Going off of that, I would call them very similar players. One is not definitively better than the other. But that's my opinion, and it ain't a popular one. Just trying to give value or shed light on a player that's given too much hate at face value.

Edut: Not to mention that Bert's looking for a substantial raise next year, which would probably give him higher cap AND longer term than Anderson's current contract.

I guess we all missed this team is $886,070 over the cap this year while power and dahlin need to be paid next year.
It does not matter if the trades are fair, Buffalo would need to shed cap NEXT YEAR as these players may earn an additional bonus of $4,570,000.
I guess we will presume Dahlin and Power do not get raises!

There is no way that the Sabres will trade their 1st round pick in consecutive years as long as Kevyn Adams is the GM. Under Tim Murray, that would have been a different story but it's beyond fantasy to think it will happen now.

Murray never traded a Sabres first. But I agree, adams is much more risk averse.

He dealt 2 of his 3 1st rounders in 2015 for Kane and Lehner - whether you're referring to the difference between the Sabres' own 1st rounder or acquired 1st rounders is splitting hairs.

Habs accept. And remove the retention on Olofsson. We have the cap space for him and you are over the cap
