I am a full believer in Stutzle. Almost put him higher. Lindholm and Aho is probably 11/12 for me

I'd like to see one more season out of him before I put him in that tier of center... I think we've seen one-year wonders before (Jimmy Carson and Jonathan Cheechoo come to mind).

McAvoy is more versatile than Fox. If a team deployed him in more offensive role, he’d match the point totals (and Norris votes). A lot like Josi In that respect. Both studs.

I’d also argue that 102 points + 7th in Selke votes on one of the worst defensive teams in the league is better than 99 points with a much weaker defensive game

I understand the desire to say if this if that, but the reality is that the Bruins haven’t deployed McAvoy that way. Until he is, I’m not rating based on speculation against a guy that is deployed that way and has the trophies. As for Hischier, there were 38 players last season with at least a point per game. 80 points is not as impressive a total as it used to be. Top 10, but I’m taking some of the guys below him first, there’s stronger cases

Nico Hischier is a good center, he is absolutely not top 10, neither are Tage or Stuztle. Also Point and Draisaitl play primarily center. Crosby? Bergeron?

Hischier is not top 10 (yet, give it a few seasons and he definitely will be), Hamilton is not top 5 (he is top 10 though), Heiskanen is a top 5 D, and Hart is not top 10.

Replace Hischier with Crosby imo

McAvoy is as good or better than fox in pretty much every area, fox gets massive pp involvement aswell as ozone starts, boosting point totals.

I’m biased, but I’d take Point for his ability to play in the playoffs. In my opinion it holds more importance than almost half of those centers. Plus he still scored 51 goals and put up 95 points this year. Again biased, but I’m taking him over Eichel, Stutzle, Hischier, Matthews, Thompson, Pettersson and Hughes. Only clear guys I’m taking over him are McDavid, MacKinnon, Draisaitl and maybe Barkov.

If we want to create disingenuous narratives, I’ll play. Boston doesn’t trust McAvoy with O zone starts or PP involvement, so he’s worse
