Fabbri probably won't be included, but even if you sub in a mid prospect like Lombardi I still think the DET offer is stronger.

I think it’s Wahlstrom instead of Holmstrom. I don’t know enough about Berggren but I think the Isles can offer a better NHL vet than Detroit can. Not to mention, that vet is a former Sen who Dorion himself loved. Isles probably want the extension as a sure thing. But if I’m Lou I would do this trade without the extension and worry about the sales pitch later. If he’s not signed by March, flip ADB and get most of those assets back. Sens would prefer him out of the division. I really hope Yzerman botches his contract negotiation. He gives Copp/Compher 5 year deals but won’t go 8 years on a 25 year old. Hilarious.
