Description

I signed Reinbacher and put him on the scratched list, but this is only to show that if they sign him he may play the first 10 games but would be sent back down to AHL. So don’t count the 24th player on roster. If he stays, then bury Hoffman, waiver him but pay him to stay home. Unless you have a sense he can actually play in Laval and not be a problem… which is … probably not the situation.

The bigger question is, what would NYR want for Lafreniere? He hasn’t developed into the franchise player they thought, he was a Gorton pick so may be a player he’s targeting to bring in. Could NYR think about getting a prospect centerman and a good young defenseman who both cost low on the cap plus a 2nd round 2024 and a 2025 1st (which would be top 5 protected and could become unprotected 2026 with a third…)???

I don’t see NYR looking for a fully paid NHLer with the team they have, they are good, I figure they would want that cap space and get prospects for Lafreniere.. This would still provide them with the capability of signing Tarasenko for a year or so.

I’d give Mesar if they wanted him. Just think that Beck is a better prospect for them.

Gotta remember, teams love overdrafting centers cause they can move them to the wing if needed. Versus wingers aren’t really good being moved to center..

But yeah, I see the possibility there.

Rangers GM. Drury denied our report (The Athletic) about the Rangers having gauged the trade market on Alexis Lafrenière, saying on Saturday afternoon that “there’s nothing further from the truth. Decent offer. I’m just more curious with how much more he can improve to be honest. We know his floor is a solid 3rd liner who plays well 5 on 5 and can put up 35-40 points as a 21 year old with limited power play time. I’m curious to see how much better he can get in the next 4-5 years as he matures and gets more opportunities. That intrigue is probably why I decline, but the offer isn’t bad.

My two cents, the Rangers are tight against the cap and are looking to win now. They will have no interest in futures, they will want quality pieces that would be cheap and help them this season.

A package probably starts at Guhle.

Then you'll have to add a winger that can potentially play on their 3rd line (Ylonen, Ferrell, Roy, Heineman, etc.).

Lastly probably a 2nd winger or a prospect / pick of some kind.

It's probably more than MTL would or should consider, Slafkovsky and Newhook can be their top 6 LW, I'd really like to have Lafreniere but I would only take him if it is a steal not an overpay.

Does it matter to anyone that the Rangers GM came out yesterday and said he is not trading either Laffy or Miller? Is it not enough to hear from the GM himself?

Some people have very tragic personal lives and feel the need to bully others to try and make themselves feel better. Then there are the really tragic ones who hide behind the internet to try to bully others. I see it as the lowest form of bully, you cannot help but laugh at them, kind of like a chimpanzee riding a tricycle while wearing a tutu.

While I won't specifically comment on our mutual friend, I can tell you that I hate bullies and get a kick out of messing with them.

I know it's gorton who drafted him... but as onlyfsirtrades said they don't want to trade him, but still you go after him
